Is your power supply primary voltages OK accross the 400V cap. (This post was edited by joseph8157 on Sep 12, 2009, 5:11 PM) Do u have access to the CCT diagrams? I think if the first Voltage (400V) on the Capacitor is restored the rest may be OK. as you suggested it may be the IC itself or any other component that has caused to cease the oscillations. It is available on I don't see a 400V DC on the 150uF 450V Capacitor. My guess is the first IC (ST-L6561) generates the bus voltage of 400V DC as a Power Factor Corrector. Re: Polaroid FLM-3232 no power "picture inside" One or two of them may be shorted causing your secondary voltages not to be there on the pin connectors CN2 & CN3. That is why you'll have to replace the board. They extremely hard to find or you have to buy $300.00 worth of them. Some of the times these are your problem with this board. If you look at the bottom side of the board you will see 4 little black ic's. IC International Crime & Drugs (US Department of State) IC (USN Rating) Interior Communications Electrician IC Imperial Creations (gaming design team for Age of Empires) IC Imperial Crusader (Lineage 2 game armor set) IC Institute of Charity (religious order) IC Installation Coordinator (US Army Europe) IC Indian Airlines Corporation (IATA airline code) IC Imperial Conflict (online strategy game) IC Insurgent Camp (America's Army gaming) IC Iroquois Confederacy (five native american tribes)

IC Istituto di Cristallografia (Italian: Institute of Crystallography) IC Innovative Creative (Industrial Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University slogan) IC Inside Corner (measuring in construction) IC Integration Consortium (global body responsible for influencing the integration industry) IC Institute or Center (National Library of Medicine grants & funding) IC Initial Contact (aviation radio communication) IC International College (Beirut, Lebanon private high school) IC In Contact (recessed light fixture for direct contact with attic insulation) IC Industry Canada (Government Department) IC Include (assembly language ASM51 assembler control) I'm sure I just saw it listed - somewhere! I'm sorry if this sounds dumb but i have no idea what an IC is. Which "by law" is that? (or should that be "buy law?") boards are : Shopjimmy or Discount merchant or E-Bay. It will cost you if they offer the service if your tv is out of warranty, but if they don't offer service then the board must be made available for purchase ! Now if they don't offer the service and the part is not available, by law they must replace the TV. Also by law they have to make the part available for 2 years or offer some sort of service for your set. If you still have your owners manuel contact Polaroid for the nearest authorized dealer who stocks them. Finding these boards can be difficult as most companys do not stock them. The part # of the board is 846-240-H3CZZSH or you might have an additional number or letter as there were two different versions. When caps become leaky or bulging at the top of them most of the time you'll have some type of a voltage reading on the two connector plugs that will be low. If no voltage is found then board replacement is going to be your best bet. Also check if you have any voltage coming off the CN2 or CN3 plugs. The best way to check if your caps are good is with a ESR meter. This is a common problem with the power supply when the caps are good. Your problem with this set is most likely the small IC's on the bottom side of the board at the top of the picture. Polaroid FLM-3232 no power "picture inside"
